"Why I Love to Paddle" Customer Stories
We all have our reasons for being on the water, whether on a stand-up paddleboard or in a kayak. Here are some of the many reasons why our customers love to paddle…
We’re very proud to serve customers from many walks of life, different age groups and
various experience levels from beginning to pro. They all have one thing in common: They love to paddle!
We asked some of them why. Here’s what they said:
Peace and Quiet
Tim and his wife from Wisconsin kayak together near their cabin most days, from when the ice melts in the spring to when it starts to form in the fall. He loves “the peace and quiet. And the freedom to go where I want.”
Another customer, Michael, feels the same: “The nicest part is the quiet and seeing wildlife.”
Jeffrey, father of three young boys, likes kayaking with them. He says, “Being on the water is my therapy. All the stress of life washes away with each stroke away from the launch.”
Sherie, too, says: “The lack of motors/noise, the peacefulness of floating down the river.” And she adds: “The challenge of navigating sand bars in the river.”
Sean, from Florida, can paddle all year long. He says, “I like to get away from the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle. I find it relaxing to paddle on a nice quiet river.”
Can Get on the Water with Minimal Effort
Peter says, “We like paddling because it allows us to get onto the water with minimal effort and we have a wonderful river, estuary and countless lakes to explore and enjoy.”
No motor to maintain. No gas to buy. No waiting in line at the launch for the other trucks and trailers to get their bigger boats in the water.
Being Out in Nature
New Jersey native, Sue, shares, “I love the peace and tranquility paddling brings. I really enjoy nature’s beauty. There’s always something interesting to see on the water that you can’t see from the land.”
Kayak guide Bryan agrees: “The peace and tranquility I get from being on the water makes me feel like I’m one with nature.”
The Health Benefits
“My favorite thing about paddling is the core workout,” says Mike, a SUPer from southern California.
All of the Above!
Some paddlers have a hard time narrowing it down to one or two reasons why they love being on the water.
Canadian, Sarah, is one of them: “So far, the best thing about paddling has been getting to explore the pristine wilderness of Newfoundland—all those hidden corners not accessible by road.”
But that’s not all. She adds: “It’s good for the soul, and as an added bonus, a great way to stay fit. I only wish we would have discovered paddling a decade ago.”
