Take ACA’s Online Paddlesports Safety Course at Your Own Pace
Why Take a Paddling Safety Course?
You don’t have to pass a safety course before someone will sell you a kayak, canoe or stand-up paddle board. You don’t have to pass a safety course before you can get on the water and start having fun.
But taking a paddling safety course is just a smart idea! It’ll remind you to keep safety top-of-mind every time you paddle.
Taking ACA’s online Paddlesports Safety Course offers you the ultimate in convenience. You don’t have to wait until the weather warms up, for you northerners. You don’t have to live near a waterway.
All you need is your computer, tablet or phone with internet and you’re good to go.
And at just $29.50, it’s a bargain. Very well worth the investment into a lifetime of safety for you and your family on the water.
How ACA’s Online Course Works
You’ll find this course, offered in partnership with the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA), on the website, here.
It’s simple and secure to register and pay. Then start going through the coursework. It’s designed for you to either do all in a few hours, or you can go through it a little at a time. Your work is saved each time and you can work at your own pace.
Once you’ve finished, take the exam. You have unlimited tries to pass it—so don’t let it stress you! The goal, after all, is for them to teach you about paddling safety and for you to learn it.
After you pass the exam—congratulations! You get to print your certificate.
Next step: Get out and paddle! Practice what you’ve learned so the information gets ingrained in your mind.
