Aqua-Bound has you covered for budget-friendly SUP paddle options for days at the cabin or local lake.
If you want a stand-up paddle that’s fun to use, easy to adjust and far above most clunky entry-level paddles, look no further:
Spark 85 2-Piece SUP Paddle
The Spark 85 is our most affordable SUP paddle. And yet it’s super solid with a tight-fitting ferrule that’ll give you years of worry-free paddleboarding.
The Spark 85 is made with an aluminum shaft, adjustable up to 10 inches in length. It’s 85 square inch black blade is made of fiberglass-reinforced epX engineering polymer.
This 28.5-ounce entry level paddle retails at $99.95.
Lyric 2-Piece and 4-Piece SUP Paddle
Our Lyric models are definitely a step up. Its 100% carbon shaft adds several benefits over aluminum: it’s several ounces lighter, it’s warm on your hands and it offers a slight flex with each stroke for comfortable performance.
It comes in standard 2-piece or 4-piece for ultra packability. If you travel a lot, you’ll love the 4-piece option.
The Lyric’s white blade is 85 square inches with an aggressive dihedral for a smooth, flutter-free forward stroke. It’s constructed of the same fiberglass-reinforced epX engineered polymer. The contoured palm grip is comfortable for all-day paddling.
Paddleboarding with the Lyric SUP paddle
The Lyric 2-piece weighs in at 23.5 ounces and retails for $139.95. The 4-piece model is 26 ounces and retails for $164.95.
Freedom 85 2-Piece and 4-Piece SUP Paddle
The Freedom 85 2-piece and 4-piece paddle is just like the Lyric, except its blade is bright blue. It’s our best-selling SUP paddle.
Like the Lyric, the Freedom 85 features a 100% carbon shaft with a contoured palm grip and the fiberglass-reinforced epX engineered polymer blade. It’s available in a 2-piece model or a 4-piece model for the traveler.
The 2-piece weighs 23.5 ounces and retails for $139.95. The 4-piece model weighs slightly more at 26 ounces, and sells for $164.95.
Challenge 85 2-Piece SUP Paddle
If you love the look of an all-black paddle and even less weight, check out the Challenge 85. It’s available as a 2-piece paddle and is 100% carbon from tip-to-tip.
We think it’s the best overall value—lightweight, durable, made with top-grade carbon fiber components, and still under $200.
The ferrule is easy to use and gives you the option of adjusting the paddle’s length up to 10 inches. The 85 square inch blade delivers a smooth, powerful forward stroke with that same aggressive dihedral.
This paddle weighs just 21 ounces and retails at $189.95.
